Hennessy Artistry - Opera Sunway Pyramid

Hennessy Artistry - A fusion of sights, sounds, and people. The first of this year's events was held at the Opera at Sunway Pyramid. I think this was my second time attending H-Artistry (the other being at Aloha KL a few years back). This time though, thanks to HanieHidayah, the gang and I were able to acquire some media passes (Raiton! Free flow byatches!)
LoL padahal tak minum pon.

Damnit....the media pass looks so high Q...its just something you wanna keep around even though you know that you won't have any use for it at all, y'know?
I still have the VIP pass from the H-Artistry at Aloha KL lol compare it with this:

Looks so much nicer huh?

So while waiting for the event to start (and Hanie to get off work), the gang (Daryl, Julian, Leon, Shereen and I) went to Daryl's house to chill and get ready. At about 7pm we had to attend the media conference, so terpaksalah masuk awal....lol.

Photos taken by HanieHidayah, TetLeon and me!

Hanie posing it up outside

Many bloggers and people in the media were present for the press conference. Woooo thankfully they served some light snacks and drinks. I whacked the pizza bruschetta like KERAZY! And the salmon biscuit thingy....T-T

*Ahem* On a more important note, the conference was mainly to introduce the performing acts for the night and talk a bit about what is Hennessy Artistry and its significance.

L-R: DVJ G Mix, Shawn Lee, DJ Sarasa, Bunkface

Check out Shawn Lee's kicks...Farking nice sial i want! As Hanie says, "Ni bole bikin gaduh nih!"

L-R: Shereen, Leon, Daryl

The Adverlets gang.

So after devouring the food and mingling around, we headed down to the area reserved for the VIP and media. At first it was ok but later in the night the place got a bit crowded, bak kata macam sardin di dalam tin besi kecik.

My "Zenny da Boss" act.

TetLeon and Hanie

AmandaChoe and Hanie

Amanda and Brian

They even had acrobats doing their thang for entertainment!

Too many photos were taken that night + we're sharing photos so im just gonna put some of them up at random:

Had a blast that night, wasn't feeling to well though. Nice to see everyone enjoying themselves and partying responsibly (Haha lamerzors). This was only the first of many more to come this year (whoopdeedoo!) so people, put your antennas up (even more lamerzors)!

Twisted genius, or lonely aficionado?

What is it with being a genius and being insecure and unstable? Is it compulsory for the great artists of our time and before to be plagued by "personal" and "emotional" problems? Seems to me that many iconic figures in music (JimiHendrix, KurtCobain, MichaelJackson), the silver screen and fashion (NicoleRichie, KateMoss, RobertDowneyJr.) are caught up in the struggle against drugs, alcohol, sexual addiction and emotional instability. I mean, WHY do these incredibly gifted individuals always seem to get tangled up in this dangerous web? Hmmm.....many questions left unanswered.

Well today i was reading about one of my favourite artists, John Mayer. He has his share of troubles too, in his teens and adult life:

"When Mayer was seventeen, he was stricken with a cardiac arrythmia and was hospitalized for a weekend. Reflecting on the incident, Mayer said, “That was the moment the songwriter in me was born,” and he penned his first lyrics the night he got home from the hospital. Shortly thereafter, he began suffering from panic attacks, and lived with the fear of having to enter a mental institution. He continues to manage such episodes with Xanax, an anti-anxiety drug"

"His relationship with high-profile celebrities has led to a reputation as a "womanizer."

"set off accusations in the media and on Twitter that he is a misogynist, a kiss-and-tell ex-boyfriend, and a racist"

However (to me at least) the fact remains that he is an extremely talented musician and nothing can change that. Mannn....i want his 733T SkiLlZ!!

Tapi yg xleh blah is his expressions while playing....mcm kena seizure sialll =.=

I guess all the greats have their quirks 0.0

Alice in Wonderland Screening - KLCC 01/03/2010

Seems kinda weird blogging about something which happened like half a month ago...but this is all i got for now. The special media screening of Alice in Wonderland, courtesy of HanieHidayah. Thanks baby =D

Before the screening there was a tea party for the guests. There were special tea platters and the waitresses dressed up as "Alice" to suit the theme. Heheh i know what you guys were thinking. Sorry no pictures of them, too busy staring to take pictures =D
Thanks again HanieHidayah for the piccys.

Standy at the tea-party - MadHatter and the White Rabbit

Woooooo sumpah i felt so outta place there...

The yum yum tea platter. (Cheh padahal i only ate the sandwiches hahahar)

Sempat lagi ambik gambar before going in for the movie.

This girl was interviewed by 8TV, tengok tu muka bangga!

All the "excited" faces prior to the movie. If you guys have not watched Alice, i think you should just check it out in 3D. I mean, i think any movie that is released in 3D should be watched in 3D. Just a few extra bucks and you get to enjoy all those special effects + a pair of funky 3D glasses to camwhore with lololol

Well i thought the movie was not bad, but i could've had a LITTLE more development on Alice's part. A good two and a half hours spent, though. Got too many movies to watch this month, susah nk pilih dowh...arghgh.

Harro!
